ART EXHIBITION: Monday 3rd of April from 7-9pm. All are welcome.
We have been excellent artists this week and are nearly set for Monday evening. We hope you will be able to make it in. There will be no homework on Monday night, as a result of the exhibition.

Our winners from the colouring competition. We were getting our backgrounds ready for our marbling art hot air balloons.
Many thanks to Shonagh, from Firhouse Community School, who was with us for a few days this week and was a great help in getting the classroom ready.
We really enjoyed working with the fantastic book "A Bad Case of Stripes." We talked about not overly influenced by other people's opinions, such as not being afraid of eating foods other people don't like (there have been a few comments recently.) We loved the different ways that Camilla's appearance changed and we came up with some very creative ones of our own. Next week, we are going to be planting lima beans, Camilla's favourite food.

We learned about space this week. We especially loved learning about Laiki, the first dog in space and Ham, the first chimp in space.
We had a bit of a disaster on Friday afternoo, when some chefs in our kitchen served "poisoned" food. Children were collapsing and some became frozen statues! Terrible! Thankfully we had some doctors on hand who were able to cure them.
Rocai Rua has enjoyed going home to everyone's house. Thank you to all the children who were so patient in waiting for him.
We loved playing schools in the morning and had some great teachers (and some very well behaved students.) We also played Power Tower with our sight words and Swat that Sound, used the style trays and peg boards and for construction we played with Stickle Bricks.
It was lovely to be able to get outdoors to do PE this week and the children were particularly excited to get into the 2nd class yard. Here are a few pictures from this week.
