That's right! We've spent 100 days in Junior Infants. We had lots of fun today doing different activities based on the number 100! We made a crown, painted 100 gumballs into a gumball machine with our finger (we practiced counting to 10, 10 times for this) and we looked at a story about 100 days of school. We participated in Operation Transformations 10 at 10 today also and we did 10 reps of 10 different exercises. It was a great...with a bit of dabbing thrown in at the end of the video. :D We had a special visitor, Ms Martin, who came in and did the exercises with us.
Here is the Operation Transformation link, if you would like to play it at home.
We were so excited when we did some paired work with the big 2nd class kids! It was a lot of fun. The children were fantastic with their big 2nd class buddies and did great maths work today. The 2nd clasas kids taught us how to play some new dice games (which will be coming home for homework in a while.) We practiced counting up to 100 and did 3-colour patterns using 100 squares.
Half of the Junior Infants went upstairs to Ms Gallagher's 2nd class and half of their class came down to us. It was such a success we decided we will repeat it and the other group will go upstairs to Ms Gallagher, if they would like to.

Rocaí Rua wants to come and visit the children at home. He's watching out during the day, looking for kindness and hard work and he has picked a few children to go home with this week. He started out visiting Tara, then Hugo (where it turns out he was a bit of a monkey, sneaking about the house at night) and today he went home with Brogin. We have loved hearing from them the next day and finding out what the children did with Rocaí Rua. We have been asking lots of great questions and the children have done a super job answering them.
A few photos from our morning activities time and Gaeilge. We loved standing on the chair, posing and talking about what clothes we were wearing. And after our lovely underpants themed books and stories last we, we were delighted to learn that underpants as Gaeilge is 'fobhrístí!' :)
