What a busy week we have had! We said goodbye to Ms Donoghue on Friday. We have really enjoyed having her with us. We brought home the outdoor plants we planted with her, which there was much excitement over.
We took advantage off the nicer weather this week and went outdoors for maths. We are working on ordinal numbers so we had had relay races and worked out which teams were first, second and third.

We are writing the number 5 now. It is the highest number we write in Junior Infants. This is the rhyme we use.
We enjoyed a morning maths station. We practiced our counting and addition using the abacus and our sorting trays. We made colour and shape patterns using our shape links - which always ended up as high quality jewellery. We also raced cars in maths stations and played lots of different games.
Seachtain na Gaeilge has begun. Have a look at Zón na Gaeilge for some of the activities we have going on (and there are some exciting things planned!) We started off celebrating Irish culture with a really fun Irish dancing lesson with Ms Puirseil. What talent we have!! Some people loved it so much they kept dancing throughout yard!
Here are some parting shots, as usual. :) Have a look at some of our art, Rocai Rua, and lots more.
